"Building a Career in Natural Resources Law"
UNM Professor Alex Ritchie is now the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF), the nation's largest educational, non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the laws and regulations relating to mining, oil and gas, energy, public lands, water, environmental and international law. In this Lunch & Learn lecture, Alex spoke about his career path from a big firm lawyer working on oil and gas and mining deals, to an in-house attorney at an oil company working on environmental issues, to a law professor. He also spoke about opportunities for both students and practicing lawyers through RMMLF and what involvement in RMMLF can mean for your career as a natural resources or environmental lawyer.
This lecture was co-hosted by the Utton Center, the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Program and the Environmental Law Society.
