Ombudsman attends Dividing the Waters Conference at Stanford Law

Stephanie Ruso Baca and the cover of her bookOur Ombudsman Director and staff attorney, Stephanie Russo Baca participates in the Dividing the Waters 2019 Conference at the Stanford Law School with the National Judicial College alongside fellow water attorneys, professors and judges from New Mexico and all over the country.

On Saturday, April 12th, Stephanie visited a few farms on the Monterey Peninsula where she saw how growers are working with Monterey One Water to help recharge the aquifer to ensure farms can continue to produce food crops for generations to come!

Monterey One Water provides wastewater treatment services to over 250,000 people; processes over 18.5 millions gallons of wastewater each day; recycles approximately 4 billion gallons of water annually for crop irrigation; and protects public health, water quality, and the environment by meeting or exceeding numerous regulatory requirements.
