  • Earthen Dam Removal in New Mexico

Earthen Dam Removal in New Mexico

There are a significant number of low-hazard earthen dams nearing the end of their lifespan in New Mexico, a new report from the Utton Center's Rin Tara shows. The sociopolitical context for these dams varies greatly by community, and thus the report is intended to kickstart conversation about certain earthen dams that have outlived their intended lifespan.
